Back to the Blog
Hello friends. As some of you may remember, back in 2010 I kept a blog to document a shooting challenge I held for myself and then as planned, I retired blogging.
Since then a lot has happened! I've shot heaps of music videos, commercials and short films. I've shot and directed two TV hour docs, I've shot feature length docs, was a camera operator and second unit cinematographer on a 13 episode comedy series and directed a few other short projects. I've been able to ride a motorcycle across the continent and travel to many new parts of the world. I've found myself on mountain peaks, boats and everything in between. It's been a fantastic and fun few years! Now it's time to bring back the blog for another challenge.
As always, I need to set an end game of when I will stop blogging or inevitably I will get slack, fall off the wagon and stop updating. This time I plan to use the blog to chronicle my cinematography career as I attempt to take the next step toward shooting narrative feature films and dramatic TV series. The hope is that the blog will help keep my motivation strong as I try to realize my goal of continuing to live in Nova Scotia and being able shoot films I love at a world class level. Wish me luck.
If you're interested in following along, you can expect updates about once a month until I officially sign onto a long form project that is the perfect fit. At which point I'll shut down the blog until the next challenge arises.
